The nicest dog is the one you love. What do you want from your dog? A playful dog who retrieves a ball, catches a frisbee or rides a skateboard? A dog that is fierce, intimidating, protective, or aggressive? A lap dog that fits in your tote bag or one you can saddle up?
My favorite dogs have been different breeds and sizes, with their distinct caninealities. My preference is for a dog that catches on quickly and does not bark "needlessly" or obsessively. Drooling is out, too.
