    VA Loan Occupancy rules/exemptions?

Hello, we have a VA loan in Virginia and have qualified to refinance with a VA interest rate reduction loan. However, we are concerned about the occupancy requirements. It says in the paper work that we must live here for at least a year (is our principal residence since 2007) but my husband's employer is requiring us to move. We saw that the occupancy requirement could be waived if we got a note from our lender. How do we get them to give us something in writing. We have verbally been told that it is OK and just want it in writing.

Talk to them again and tell them you need it in writing. It's not a difficult letter to type up. You can;t force them, just keep pestering them.
