How can I get my computer to "update drivers?"

My printer stopped printing. It is a Kodak all in one. It will make copies but I cannot print anything from my computer. I uninstalled it and then tried to reinstall it again. It keeps giving me prompts that the "drivers could not update for installation." What can I do? When I tried to search the internet for the update it wouldn't let me so I put the disk in and it still gave me the same prompt.
