    It's a fact and you can experience the differences for yourself. Naturally there are aberrations. For instance, in the Australian summer, you can go south from Darwin, which is very close to the equator, to South Australia and find that it can be 20+ degrees hotter Farenheit on the same day The hottest temperatures ever recorded in Australia have been in S.A. Also, in the U.S. summer, on many days, it's hotter in N.Y. than in Miami, although Miami is just north of the Tropic of Cancer.
