    can you renew your vehicle registration for less then a year

    we are in an industry that we need access to our van to transfer people for just three months out of the year..do we still have to pay registration for the entire year or can we have it be in-operable for 9 months and active for three

      it depends where you live.  In my State registration is for 2 years.  Perhaps you can get a special registration ?? Contact the DMV/MVA in your area.

        You should contact the DMV in your area and make an appointment to talk with a DMV representative about your situation.  If you are a non-profit, you may qualify for some special rate.
