I have chronic anemia, which means the marrow in my bones, mainly the femur is not producing adequate number of red blood cells. If you are in renal failure you are not producing the chemical secreted by the kidney in sufficient quantities to stimulate the bone marrow. If the marrow is not producing healthy cells this may affect your hemoglobin. A simple blood test can answer the question. then your doctor can determine the correct treatment for you.

Eat eggs, meats (especially liver), and veggies as they are all excellent suppliers of iron.  You may also want to take vitamins with iron.  In extreme cases, your Dr. may give you iron dextrose shots.
