We're expecting 18-24" in my area the last time I checked. Should be an interesting time. There are suggestion that due to the high winds, we may lose power so if I disappear, that's more than likely why. I do not plan on going out anywhere. I'm set and ready to get through it. Generator is at the ready too. I made it through the blizzard of '78. This one should be a piece of cake :)

Yeah, I also was in the '78 storm. Took 2 1/2 hr. to make a 1/2 hr. trip home from work. Only got home because of my VW bug, great in snow! We are expecting same forecast as you. Good luck Colleen, be safe..

Colleen, sorry but I got off track on your post telling of your snow loaded roof. I hope all holds up and it warms to melt. I have used rock salt, or calcium chloride in a nylon, and thrown it up near the gutters to help melt and prevent ice damming. Good luck, Bus.
