    when hooking up battery charger, a clicking sound comes from within the engine area(not altinator) more from rear engine to fire wall. disconnected battery charger.

    If you have a car alarm, it's probably that. If it was active when the battery died, then it is becoming active again with the charge to the battery. It will probably click until it has the charge to sound the alarm.
