Need to know how to wire (4 wires) to a heating element in a bathroom ceiling heater

This is an old Rangaire 1100. Has 4 wires to connect to ends of element. Don't know which goes where. No light, just fan motor and heat element. There appears to be a switch inside. There is a transformer attached to motor. How do I tell if it is burned out or not working?

If you are in the US, the Heating Element tis a 240V circuit.

Use and Ohmmeter to find the two 120V wires that go to the Heating Element.

Use and Ohmmeter find the Ground wire, the remaining wire is the one that goes to the switch.

If in doubt call an electrician, WBMS

The 4th wire would be for the fan I believe.
