I'm going to try and search the answer again but if I remember right, you're suppose to hold down on the # button.
OK, after checking, that is the answer I saw before and the person I gave it to said it worked. Hold the # button for 10 seconds.
I also found this suggestion if your phone has a silent button:
"there is a button that says silent hold that until it makes a noise and it is fixed"
