    what could cause my stearing colum to not function

    my car broke down and  im getting no power to the steering colum it doesnt react when i turn the key in any way dashboard lights dont come on nothing does when u  use key

    ok its not the battery if i turn the dimmer all the way up all the lights come on but nothing in relation to the stearing colum works when u turn the key nothing happens pure silence no blinkers work nothing

      Are you sure it's not your battery or an alternator not charging the battery? If you still feel it has to do with the ignition, have the ignition on your steering column checked.
