Could be anything from a rusted out brake line to a bad master or wheel cylinder. You need to fill it up with brake fluid and have someone pump the brake, to see where it is leaking out.

After all, the truck is 33 years old, and it is probably the old style master cylinder that will lose all the fluid if a leak develops.
