i have 1999 3500 chevy 6.5 turbo diesel and i want to make the trans shift faster . how can i do this?
Hi good people i'm working with a 6.5 turbo diesel and it runs sooo slow . I found out that when it reaches about 210 degrees it runs a little but other than that she is such a slow poke help?

Although I could be wrong, every one of the older Chevy diesels I ever drove handled like a pedal-driven paddle boat headed into the wind...I wasn't impressed at all. I had always attributed the sluggish nature of them to the engine...very slow responding.
It wouldn't surprise me, if the slow responding nature of them, would prohibit doing anything with the transmission.
