Do you believe that you may suffer the mistakes of your ancestors ?

I have heard a wise word ``Kids take the punches that belonging to parents``.

No, I've done it all by myself..........

You are what your were brought up to be..

Very simple question with a very simple answer..

Everything that has happened in my life has been a result of my choice. Proclaiming myself a victim is a denial of personal responsibility. I did it all. I am my own ancestors also.

There is a very good poem by Philip Larkin on this subject :

    This be the Verse.

They *uck you uo, your mum and dad

They may not mean to, but they do.

They fill you with the faults they had,

And add some others just for you'

But they were *ucked up in their time

By fools in old-style hats and coats

Who half the time were soppy-stern

And half at each other's throats.

Man hands on misery to man,

It deepens like a coastal shelf.

Get out as early as you can,

And don't have any kids yourself.

    Ann

That poem is very fitting and true for generations now and generations to come.

Not in the least ..I try too take full responcibility for my own mistakes, what my ancestors might have done died with them !!

No. The world does suffer the mistakes of leaders though. Past and present.
