How do I eliminate folders I no longer want?

How do I eliminate folders I no longer want? Actually, I mean folders in Hotmail/Outlook along the side.  Not folders on the desktop. Those, you just drag to trash. That's not possible in Outlook/Hotmail. There is no way to right click on a Mac Mouse.

Now that makes a difference. I'll have to check the internet as I do not own a mac.

Hmm, this gives instructions for a right click too.

    Instructions
    1
Unlock the folder if it is locked. Right-click the folder’s icon and click “Get Info.” If there is a check mark next to the word “Locked,” uncheck the box so you will have permission to modify the folder.

    2
Click on the folder that you want to delete and drag it to the trash icon located on the dock.

    3
Empty the trash if you want to completely delete the file from your computer. Right-click on the trash icon and click “Empty Trash,” or double-click the icon and click the “Empty” button.
