it maybe your rear main seal leaking look to see if your dripping oil between the pan and trnsmission if so will have to drop oil pan and replace the rear main seal

if you visit carcomplaints.com regarding this problem you will see that everything you suggested was found not to be the problem but thank you very much
Well considering just how many complaints are logged on that site concerning this issue and gm's own mechanics can't figure it out, I would see about starting a class action law suit against them for their inferior trucks. Buy a Ford. :)
