On my email, next to the attachment place, there is "insert: invitation". How do I get rid of it?

I have been having trouble uploading and sending documents.  I noticed on my gmail that next to the "attachment" place is "insert:  invitation".  The invitation was something I created previously, but now it is showing up in each blank email before I put anything in.  I have tried several ways to get rid of it, but none works.

This is part of a new Gmail feature that was launched last week. The idea behind it is to allow users to more conveniently create Calendar invites through Gmail. If you'd like, you can learn more about it by clicking on the link below.
There is no way to disable this; however, you can suggest the ability to do so as a feature request.
