    Looking for an Awwww moment?

    Dogs are the greatest!

A dog doesn't care if you're rich or poor, big or small, young or old. He doesn't care if you're not smart, not popular, not the best athlete, nor the best-looking person. To your dog, you are the greatest, the smartest, the nicest human being who was ever born. You are his friend and protector. And he will do whatever it takes to love and protect you.

This dog's owner is trapped inside the car and his dog is trying his best to help him.

Neither of these incredible photos should come as a surprise to any of us. Thanks for sharing them, CB. The dog in the hospital looks A LOT like our old Darrell.
    bulletman

CB, seriously it brought a tear to my eye.

I am a wreck, because it brings back memories when I was 11 years old. It happened in a small village in Germany where I was living at the time. The German Shepherd died on the grave of this young boy. He did not want to live without him. He refused food and water and would not let anyone touch him.The whole village tried to save the dog, but to no avail. Now I cant stop crying, its too emotional foor me,

OMG, so very sad. RIP the soul of the man.Wounder what happened his loyal friend ?
    Bob/PKB

Is anyone you know loved as much by anyone as that boy was by his dog. Thank you for your memory, Ann. I'm in tears, too.
    Ann

Bob & Pythonlover,I have always loved animals, My whole family did.I feed squirrels and birds all winter and have fed deer, when there was too much snow on the ground.Everyone thinks I am too emotional when it comes to animals. But I have been like this all my life.

There is a homeless man in Dublin, one of many, but he has a little dog and a rabbit. A couple of months ago, some thug, threw the poor rabbit in the River Liffey, God bless the homeless man, he jumped into Liffey, and saved his pet. ( Why are my eyes so full of tears writing this ) Happy to state, the thug got four months in prison, been cruel to the animal. Rabbit is so cute. The little dog is like a guard for man and rabbit.

Dollybird, I'm so glad to hear that the rabbit was saved.
    Ann

Dollybird, I am glad the thug had to go to prison. What a cruel thing to do. I dont ever rmember seeing homeless people when I grew up. Now they are everywhere. How sad.
    Clonge

Upon close inspection, there appears to be 2 different dogs. Darker coloring in lower pic.

I never said it was the same person or dog, Clonge. They are two pictures that I thought were AWWWWWW moments.

    Dogs are AWESOME!!!!!

    Dollybird

All animals are awsome in their own special way, but never like a dog.
    doolittle

I've had many animals and I must say that all of them were super (though the guppies and the water snails weren't very cuddly. My current cat comes to the door when I get home, follows me around, lays down near me or on my lap, and takes walks with me. He also shares my pillow, spoons my head, and "talks" to me.

Could be he just finds the taste of bumper rubber irresistible.;-0  Ahhhh.

Or he could be going for the tire. Some dogs like to bite at tires.
    digger

EX-ACTLY. Some dogs can be extremely duplicitous.
    Dollybird

digger, look at the dog again in pic, he/she is looking straigh at its owner in the car, not at the bumper rubber, or the tire. !!
    digger

    OY VEY !

That's dogs for ya.They are definately mans best friend.

Emotional- to say the least. No matter what happens, Dogs will be there and love you unconditionally till the very end.  I can trust my dog more than many people I know.

Who said, animals have no feelings. This pic brough tears to my eyes.

    Me, three.....
    Tommyh

    #4 me too.LOL

Looks like my old dog, now I'M gonna cry........

My whole life has included at least one dog.  I can't imagine life without a dog (or cat...my cat is extremely lovable and clingy).  The level of loyalty  shown by so many of "man's best friends" demonstrates more than simple-minded animal instinct.

A bit like the story of Greyfriars Bobby a Skye terrier who allegedly kept vigil on his master's grave in Edinburgh in the 19C and made into a film by Walt Disney. He has a statue erected in his memory outside the graveyard, though the truth may never be fully revealed.

    digger

Surely, you're not suggesting that the dog was faking it;-)
    nomdeplume

It appears that dogs used to live in cemeteries as people used to feed them and so the story grew up that the dogs were keeping vigil on their masters' graves. If you google 'Greyfriar's Bobby' you will get more info.
    digger

That'll be heart-breaking news to many of the animal lovers here:-(
    bulletman

You failed to mention, Bobby is actually buried in Greyfriars Cemetery, the only animal to do so, he slept everynight on his Master's Grave until he died, the film can be bought at the small cottage there, a real tear jerker.

that is so good for that man.

did you now that if you cod you know to do stuff on your own.

Please answer questions only one time. I've combined your two answers.
I know that I can do many things on my own, and I do.

Can be a lie or the truth .

Fair well that dog do love his master !!
