     can  you use a toggle switch as a replacement   a new one cost over 100 dollars  and how would u hook it up    how many people looks at my question for someone can  answer  some world we live in

      No, you can not do this. Well you can do it but it will not pass inspection. Are you saying a new dimmer switch will cost over $100? I hope that's with labor. You know you can replace your own, right?
