If the bird's diet is only sunflower seeds - it can be bad as they are high in fat. Variety is best .

she has a varied diet of seeds, vegies, fruit etc., she scratches a lot took her to vet nothing can be found. someone said sunflower seeds make them oveheat, wondered if this was right.
Sorry, i thought you meant "overeat".Birds tend to scratch a lot, as this is part of their grooming/cleaning.
