I fixed my canon camera twice using this website, they offer pictorials and text instructions for disassembly and assembly as well as how to fix the broken part.
They do not offer part replacement but if you know what part needs replaced, go to ebay, its there someplace.. buy the part then go to this website and it'll take you step by step. Hopefully your camera is a fairly popular one, they don't have every product ever made but its getting larger. Not only for cameras either, its for everything. Good luck.
BTW: your problem sounds like a weak battery.. Most all digitals will do this --
