    I was asked for my bank details by system progressive protection, will it have taken money from my account?

    System Progressive Protection over took my laptop while my mum was using it not knowing that it's a scam, she gave them my bank details so that it could 'download' new protection software while I was out of the room. However it declined the card twice... and i've shut down my laptop and restarted it. My question is if the card was declined does that mean that haven't taken money out of my account?

    I would check with my card provider to assure myself that a transaction was not completed and if necessary stop the transaction. They usually have a 24/7 number to call.

    They may have , phone your card proviver right now and tell them to cancel the payment. They can do that.
