Have a mechanic look at it. It could be due to mice or many other things. Guessing is not the best way to repair a vehicle.

Sorry but unless I can be there looking at the truck and trying things, it's difficult to be of any help.

Theres a electronic box on the sid of tranny tnat has gone out on a 2002 and this truck where the speedo completely stopped work, and I replaced it( that worked) My speedo once in a while will act up by reading incorrectly. This box may be the tranny computer nd might control the tack as well. nyone know?
