My daughter gave me her Kindle and she had lost the cord, so I use my cell phone charger, it fits perfectly.

You received two cords. One that you plug into a wall outlet and another that you plug into your computer. I do not own a Kindle but I would suggest just matching the plug ends to the port on the Kindle that they fit. The one for the computer will have a square end that plugs into a usb port on your computer.
