Make sure you have it set to receive cable signal and not set for the channel the DVD player uses. The repair manual is your owner's manual. Did you lose the owner's manual? You would check the trouble shooting section. I've been unable to find a manual on line. If you find your manual, there is a support number listed in it that you can call for trouble shooting help.
