How do I disable my security program (Avast) and the internet , without losing them, so another program (Adobe Flash Drive II) can install?

You should not have to disable your security program to install adobe flash. Make sure you are using adobe's site to download the flash. > http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5351
