when the crank is set to 40 degrees on the balancer pulley and matched up with the timing cover line the camshafts will line up like the picture. now there are 2 tools that bolt to the head that line the noth in back of the cam pulley even with the head like in the picture but as long as the notches line up with the head you should be ok.
