hmmm..land line or cell phone? With many cell phones you need to hit on the mail icon or phone icon. My cell requires a password to be able to hear voicemail messages. When unlocked I can oen up the phone and hit "ok" under the mail option to retrieve texts. Email is a different matter. My land line has an internal messaging service where I need to dial a number to retrieve my messages.
Knowing whether this is a landline or cell phone, what type, and who the service is through (ex..verizon ) would be helpful.
