Can anyone tell me which forms I need from the inland revenue to claim back some of the tax I pay when I am buying tools for my job . I am employed in England as a mechanic , I know it can be done as a man I used to work with did it but his father was an accountant and he wouldn't tell me . There is also a firm which will do it for you but their commission is over 50% of the refund and they have a minimum charge of £75.00 plus V.a.t if they do not secure a refund for you which to me seems a lit
