Thank you, Romos. As you probably guessed, it's the name of a house. A relation in Devon has just bought it and no one knew what it meant. (Apologies for our ignorance down here.) Thank you again.
Not ignorance my friend, although I'm Scottish I don't speak gaelic, most Scots don't.
It's just that it is a well used name for houses here too.
