Did you got hit by some object? maybe you got stung by some insect. Anyway, if it doesn't heal by itself or improve within a day or two, I think you should go to a doctor. If it is very painfull, or gets worst with time, you should set an appointment with a doctor as soon as possible, in my opinion.
Also, in order to reduce the heat you can place something cold on it.
