Diabetes is a very serious condition, it can lead to heart, liver, kidney disease, blindness and amputations, so many diabetics will die from one of these rather than from diabetes itself. I am Type 2 diabetic but with medication, diet control and exercise I should have an average lifespan.
The problem that is arising is the huge number of obese kids who will develop diabetes in the future owing to poor parenting.
