I feel sure that the comparatively new scientific field we call genetic engineering will,  in the long term, be of great benefit to us all and I am thinking particularly of medicine and agriculture, to name just two, where it will make a big impact in the positive sense. I am therefore in favour of the continued research and finance in this field.

You are already undoubtedly better off for this field of science.  Many medicines and foods are currently the result of genetic engineering! 

It's going to screw up the human race,by messing with a potential embryo's DNA. People will want designer babies.

And they're doing it to the animals that we eat.....like beef and pigs. So, our health will be screwed up by eating them . And they're messing with our vegetables that we buy, which could lead to cancer. They'r doing it thru the GMO process. You would be wise to grow your own veggies.

There seems to be another paranoid "obsession designed to kill everyone" in the world, but a chosen few every week or so. Everything in my childhood, paint, glue, foods, and medicine were accepted at the time to be perfectly safe has been removed from the market place due to toxicity and its effects on wildlife, children, etc,etc. It’s Biblical too and predicted by babblers everywhere.

The fact is no one has been alive for 150 years here. We all die. I don’t see the point in being concerned about it being eaten by aliens, strange viruses, gun shot or poisons…the result is the same.

Some folk like to scar people with their fearful imaginings. Apparently some folk like to be afraid and support folk who will scar them or there wouldn’t be so much of this gibberish.
