And it is 7 times easier than a 21 speed.  My kids just got me one this summer, my old 3 speed sits in the shed, and the new one is easier than I anticipated it would be.  I go on our bike path (an abandoned railroad path, paved over) and ride 2-3 times per wk. each totaling 8-10 miles.  Not bad for a  62 yr. old man, huh?

61...still a baby!;-)..yep..mine has 21 gears..but not difficult ..you just get used to which gear for which terrain don`t you find?...I`d say I only use a few different gears!:-)

Same with me, Millie, I use 2nd range all the time and 2-7 within that range. I do not do any off road, and few real hills. It is good exercise, and now that the cold is coming, I will probably join a cheap gym for the winter months. How have you been feeling Millie? Wasn't you pretty sick?
