    How do you install roof capping on a steel roof.

    I want to install the caps on a pitched steel roof and I'm not certain if the caps should be over of under the ridge vent.

          Isn't it called flashing?

          Yes...but...Flashing will more generally be used on the edge of a roof & will be a slightly different shape to a cap.The most common name for caps in this country is ridge capping.
