    I just bought a western Digital external hardrive my book esential, how do I get the computer to start downloading on it.

    As I'm not that computer literate, I don't know where I go next after I open the page of My Computer

      Connect the hard drive to your computer. with the usb cable. You should get a pop up on your screen asking what you want to do next. Follow on screen instructions.
