how do i reset the picture settings on my lg tv?

i can hear the sound just fine but the bottom half of the screen is black and the top half was the color bars but now distorts the picture. i cant read anything to reset the picture settings. i need to know what buttons to hit and how many times. please help

To reset -unplug your TV for 5 mins.
