    how do you unfreeze a macbook

    a friend gave my wife an old (2007) white mac book that when she turns it on, all she gets is a flashing folder icon w/ a question mark on it.

      Make sure your software is up to date. Click your Apple icon (top left in your screen) then click: Software Update...
