    is there a ground wire on a 2 prong toggle switch if so where

    The White wire is the ground wire and should be attached through.   The black positive wire is attached to the brass screws.  The switch should be attached to the box with the "ON," direction in the "UP" position.  If the box is mounted horizontally, "ON" should be to the "Right." position.


    If there is a uncovered, or green, wire that is use to ground the circuit, it is attacked to the junction box.


    If the box is plastic, it is attached to the out going uncovered wire
