I think that being a good spouse can be to tell her you love her, and to show her that by giving her gifts every once and awhile, talk to her, listen to what she is going through, and being tolerant to differences between the two of you.

And help with the housework and rearing the children.  I do bathrooms and floors, and trash.  I do all the house repairs, maintenance, car repairs, and yardwork.  My wife does the books, shopping, laundry, social arrangements, laundry, decorating, and everything else!  Come to think of it, she is way busier than me, I must lighten her load, if she will let me.  I have to do some of my housework when she is not home, or she won't allow it! 

Remain? You've been doing well so far? Keep it up and love your wife. Ask her if you can do more....

Keep doing what you've been doing. It's worked so far, hasn't it?

Listen to her, never dismiss her feelings. Be helpful, you're her partner, work together on goals. Support her physically, and emotionally. Treat each other with respect.

As a Christian, i say that you should Love God, and God will bless you with a willing heart to Love your wife and to be a great husband. :)
