Ryobi's can be difficult to start.If it has spark & fuel you are probably not following the correct starting proceedure,causing it to flood.
1: switch ignition on.
2: pump the primer bubble until it's full.
3:Close the choke all the way.
4:Pull the starter until th engine attempts to fire.This can be hard to detect often just a small "pop".
5:Turn the choke to half way & pull the starter without any throttle until it starts.
6: If it starts but then cuts out open the choke all the way,hold the throttle All the way & pull the starter.
If it doesn't go by then there is something wrong.
