an LCD monitor screen has a vertical directly in the middle, is the a sympton that something is going wrong with the screen?

I mean a vertical line is alway present during operation of the system. Does the monitor need to replace or can it be repair?

According to what I have read, it means the screen was bumped

and this is showing up as a pressure point on your screen.

It may be best to have someone look at it, rather than mess

with it and make matters worse.
