Plug it in, turn it on with the power switch, making sure you also turn the onboard heater on too. Read the manual that came with it.

If I had the manual I would do that. It belongs to someone else and they lost the manual. Sarcasm not necessary!
That machine is extremely simple to operate. I own one. You don't even need manual. Follow the instructions I gave you or hire a company to clean your carpets. By the way, there was no sarcasm. That was my answer. Sorry if you feel silly not knowing how to use an overly simplified carpet cleaner.
