In my opinion, you should not send a gift. I doubt your ex daughter-in-law and her new husband want to be reminded of her ex husband or his family each time they look at or use a wedding gift that has come from her ex husbands family.

ironically, my son and I have the very best relationship with both his ex-wife and the new husband. my son is not invited either and ok w/ that because of his teen age children.
Sure. If you were close enough to her to need to ask, I would send something as long as it is not your intention to make her feel bad for not inviting you. Furthermore, it seems as if you have already decided it is the right thing to do, but don't forget to keep your son's feelings in mind.
Pray I'm right,
