I have been to CVS as well as WalGreens and neither sell it. I have looked online at Target and WalMart and they do not either. I know Rite Aid does but they do not have one in the state I am in.

You can just buy Borax at the grocery store. If you want to burn out flea eggs, the 20 Mule Team Borax will work fine. Just make sure to reapply it after you vacuum.
I believe the flea egg cycle is approximately 10 days, so leave it down for at least 10 days after you spot the last flea. It won't harm your carpet, so if you want to leave it down longer it's safe to do so.
