    I am married and my husband owns a home but my name is not on it I have a vehicle with just my name on it. He owes personal property taxes on the home and my car needs to be updated but we can't because I need verification the taxes were paid but I'm confused as my name is not on the house help!

    Is it right I can not legaize my car since my husband owes tax money on his house my name is not on the house and his name is not on the car

    In my State if the home was his prior to marriage and he never put your name on it then technically he is the only one who owes taxes on it.  The car is yours and yours alone.  Your husband &/or mortgage co. should have proof that he paid taxes (the city/town/etc should too along with any years he did not.  However, if you are still married and living together then the debt is still his but you are involved by default if you share $.
