      Please note that some types of birds have a shorter lifespan when caged.

          We did OK. My town was lucky. We got high winds but no damage that I know of. Just a lot of downed tree limbs.

          According to AfricanGreyParrot.com, an African Grey (not distinguished between Timneh and Congo species) can live 50-60 years.  Alex, the African Grey, who became famous under the study of Dr. Irene Pepperberg, died at the age of 31. There have been documented Greys that have lived to 71 yrs.
