    in the pass I was over paid by social security. I am now repaying the over payment. Can I amend my prior years taxes?

    Can I deduct money I am paying back now for over payment?  I did pay taxes on over payment.

      I don't think so as taxes should already have been covered during the period of when you were receiving the over payment.
