I agree with your comment, honesty is the best policy. But did this company cross the line by digging deeper into my personal business and private life. This is an IT management position that should be paying a fair market value. Although, the employer can pay a lot less in a capitalistic society or even a lot more; it is ultimately up to the company to decide. I was hoping there was a solution for me to answer this question without offending anyone. I believe it is no business of any company to know my past wage history when applying for a job. I feel this way for a variety of reasons. Do you agree with me or am I missing something here?
