Cats domestication is rooted in cats' mice-hunting skills. When mankind settled down and started storing crops, which mice feed on, mice became abandant due to the big masses of food. As the number of mice grew big in store houses, wild cats entered villages in search for mice to hunt. Now cats and humans lived next to each other, and cats started to enter homes in search for food and shelter. Humans favored cats with docile characters, and allowed them to stay inside.
